Electronic Delivery of ERISA Disclosure Documents:
A federal law called ERISA requires us to periodically provide you with certain information regarding your employee benefit plans. These "ERISA disclosure documents" can be furnished to you through email with your consent.

How to begin to receive information electronically:
To begin to receive ERISA disclosure documents electronically, you must do the following:
  • Click on the "about me" tab of the Rio Tinto U.S. Total Rewards Website
  • Click on the "view/edit contact information" in the left navigation panel
  • Enter your preferred email address in the EMAIL section of the page
  • Select "Yes, I consent to delivery of ERISA disclosure documents by email."
  • Click the Submit button.

How to make changes to your electronic delivery:
To withdraw your consent or update your email information, you will need to complete the following:
  • Click on the "about me" tab of the Rio Tinto U.S. Total Rewards Website
  • Click on the "view/edit contact information" in the left navigation panel
  • Update your preferred email address in the EMAIL section of the page to change your email address
  • To withdraw your consent, select "No, I do not consent to receive any further ERISA disclosure documents by email."
  • Click the Submit button.

Troubles Opening Documents; Your Right to a paper Copy:
If you have troubles opening any ERISA disclosure document sent to you by email, or would like a paper copy in any event, you can obtain a paper copy at no charge by contacting the Rio Tinto U.S. Benefits Service Center at 1-800-950-1435 or outside of the U.S. at 1-602-797-6299.

You are solely responsible for the reasonableness of the future assumptions you choose. Your actual benefit will be calculated by the Plan Administrator based upon the plan in existence at your retirement date, your actual service, pay and age at retirement. In addition, certain assumptions regarding IRS compensation and benefit limits have been used. Future actual IRS limits may generate significantly different benefits. Although the company expects to continue all benefit plans indefinitely, it has the legal right to change, amend, or end any or all plans at any time
